Grief Education

Loss is devastating and ones feelings of love require one to mourn. A person needs to mourn and express the inner feelings outwardly. The grief process can be very painful, with the compassion and understanding of others and the patience and willingness of ones self ......... Professionally one may be guided to move on life's way, cherishing the wonderful memories of the person that has died.

Meeting the vast needs of the people our funeral home offers education and informational tools to guide children and families with the grieving process.

The Haughey Funeral Home produced "GRIEF WORKS", an educational program designed to offer information and education to children and families, community groups and school systems, offering tools of video; bibliographies, workbooks, teaching manuals and group sharing.

Assisting families and children with loss and grief has been (for years) a daily commitment of the staff at Haughey's.
