Sherry Lee Babcock Wheatcraft, age 65, of Watkins Glen, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2020 with her family at her side.
Sherry was born on February 15, 1955 in Corning, NY and was the daughter of Charles Taylor and Ruth Richards Taylor.
She was employed by Bethany Village in Horseheads, NY as an ECA where she developed beautiful friendships with co-workers and residents. She loved her cats and her dog, house and garden plants, and hummingbirds. She enjoyed NASCAR and beverages with her friends. Sherry was a proud grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her mother, Ruth Taylor of Corning; daughters, Tania (Felicia) Banik of Corning and Tina (Pete) Robbins of Watkins Glen; son, Scott (Michele) Morseman of Corning; grandchildren: Stephanie (Kyle) Carrigan, Maegan and Paige Robbins, Caleb and Brayden Wilson, Laura and Ava Morseman; great grandson, Silas Carrigan; sister, Barbara (Michael) Reynolds of Corning; brothers, Jesse Babcock, Jr. of Montour Falls and Charles (Jenn) Taylor, Jr. of Corning; several nieces and nephews; a special thank you to her cousin, Sheila Haines, for being there for her.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Charles Taylor, and her brother Alton “Sam” Babcock.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 11:00AM at Central Valley Cemetery in Hornby. All COVID-19 regulations will apply.
