Zachary Jacob Strawser Obituary (1989 - 2016)

Zachary Jacob Strawser, age 27, of Corning, NY died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. Zach bravely fought a long hard battle with cystic fibrosis. Zach was born May 4, 1989 in Corning and attended both Campbell Central School and East High School. He enjoyed music, making jewelry, going to festivals and carnivals, and spending time with his friends. He is survived by his mother Ronda of Corning; grandmother, Mary Heath of Painted Post; aunt, Cathy (Jeff) Smith of Buffalo; uncle, Ronald Elliott of Athens, PA; cousins, Amy (Todd) Schwagler, Andrea (Damian) Pope, and Ryan Smith; and a close family friend, Sandi (Rich) Follette. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 15th from 2-4 PM at Victory Highway Wesleyan Church, 150 Victory Highway in Painted Post where funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM. Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery. Zach's family entrusted his care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc. in Corning.
