Shawn M. McLaughlin Obituary (1971 - 2017)

Shawn M. McLaughlin, age 45, of Painted Post, NY passed away after an extended illness on March 23, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Shawn was born September 19, 1971 in Corning, NY. He married Torrie F. Radka on February 1, 2003 at Belhurst Castle, Geneva, NY. Shawn was an amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend who had the kindest heart and was always willing to help others. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman. He worked as a Senior Accountant at Dresser-Rand in Painted Post. He graduated from Alfred University and Clarkson University with a MBA. He is survived by his wife, Torrie McLaughlin and sons: Lucas, Josh, and Brent; parents, Donald and Marcia McLaughlin; sister, Beth (Pat) Morrissey; niece, Loganne, and nephew, Cooper, Glens Falls, NY; Uncle Eugene and Aunt Grace McLaughlin, Horseheads, NY; Aunt Joan and Uncle Jim Cook, Athens, PA; Aunt Nancy Hamill, Corning, NY; Uncle Thomas Marty, Corning, NY; mother-in-law, Christine Hall; father-in-law, Michael Radka, Painted Post, NY. Calling hours will be Monday, March 27 from 1 - 3 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street, Corning, NY. The funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home with Pastor Vaughn VanSkiver officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Painted Post.
