Sharon S. Schilberger, age 73, of South Corning, NY died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Guthrie Corning Hospital surrounded by her loving family.\n\n\nSharon was born on December 19, 1942 in Yonkers to Raymond and Rita (Donahue) Smith. She married David Schilberger on May 6, 1967 in Corning. She was a graduate of CFA and worked for New York Telephone Company and Corning Hospital as a telephone operator. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family.\n\n\nShe is survived by her husband David; two sons, David (Melissa) Schilberger of Painted Post and Steve Schilberger of Corning; sister, Elaine (Joseph) Wilson of Longmont, CO; grandchildren, Devin and Charlee; nephew and nieces, Robert, Tracy, Sara, Kate; and her dog, Sam. Sharon was predeceased by her sister, Diane Clements.\n\n\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at St. Mary's Church, 155 State Street in Corning. \n\n\nThe family requests that memorials be made in Sharon's name to www.fingerlakesSPCA.org.\n\n\nSharon's family entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
