Sharon Louise O'Brian Obituary (1946 - 2015)

Sharon L. O'Brian, age 69, of Caton, NY died Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Sharon was born on October 5, 1946 in Cameron, NY to Joseph and Helen (Kirk) O'Konski. She married LeRoy O'Brian on September 27, 1975 in Caton. She worked as a waitress at Family Lunch and The Little Truck Stop in Corning. She was a life member of Caton Volunteer Fire Department and did a lot of benefits for those with medical bills. She babysat for many children over the years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, crocheting, knitting, plastic canvas, and doing crafts. She is survived by her husband LeRoy; sons, Joseph (Barbra) O'Brian of Caton, and LeRoy (Meghan) O'Brian, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL; sisters: JoAnn (David) Bulkley of Addison, Dolores (Raymond) Johnson of Cameron, Shelly (John) Phillips of Corning, Edwina "Rae" (Dan) Mayo of Addison, Pamela Hotaling of Addison, and Sonya Yarka of Cameron; brothers, Raymond Davenport of Luzerne, PA, Randy (Jeanette) O'Konski of Addison, Bradley (Judy) O'Konski of Alfred Station, and Calvin Davenport of Addison; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children, Michael Shawn and Jamie Joann O'Brian; sister, Patricia Drew; and a brother, Edward Davenport. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Caton Volunteer Fire Department on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Caton Volunteer Fire Department. Sharon's family entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
