Sarah Agnes "Sally" Summers Obituary (1933 - 2021)

Sarah A. "Sally" Summers, age 87, of Corning, NY, formerly of Reed, KY, died Friday, August 20, 2021 at her home. Sally was born on September 25, 1933 in Tower City, PA to Paul "Jada" and Evelyn "Evie" (Stoudt) Patrick. She was a graduate of Southside High School and had worked as an assembler for National Cash Register in Ithaca. She moved back home to Corning 11 months ago and was continually surrounded by her family. She was funny and witty and had a knack for story-telling. Sarah loved watching sports, especially Kentucky Wildcats basketball. She is survived by her sons: Bob (Kathy) Roberts of Corning, NY and Paul John Martin of North Carolina; brother, Terry (Lynne) Patrick of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Sara, her caregiver and constant support, Sara (Josh Phillips) Roberts of Corning, Erin (Chris) Dannelley of Elmira, John Martin and Beth Martin; great grandchildren, Neleh and Addyson; niece, Tara Haug of Charlotte, NC; step son, Robert James (Cheryl) Summers of Webbs Mills, NY; and caregiver, Aleasha Keck. Sarah was predeceased by her sons, James and Donald Martin; her husband, Robert Summers; and nephew, Brad Patrick.
