Patsy Leona Kibler

Patsy Leona Kibler, born on May 21, 1942, in Elmira, NY, left us on May 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. The world has lost a generous, loving, humble, and compassionate soul. Patsy's spirit was as beautiful as the hairstyles she crafted during her 45-year tenure as a hairdresser in Corning, New York, and Watkins Glen area.

Her hands were not only skilled with scissors and combs but also with a deck of cards, as she was a dedicated member of the Crazy 8 card club for over 35 years. Patsy had a zest for life, a passion for dance, and a voice that added grace to the choir at her beloved church.

A converted Catholic, Patsy lived by the verse from 1 Corinthians 13:13, "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." Patsy's love was abundant, reaching far beyond her immediate family to touch everyone who knew her. She treated her friends as part of her family, creating a vast network of loved ones who will miss her dearly.

Patsy is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Kibler; her loving children, Jeneen, Erick, and Roy (Michelle) Kibler; her cherished grandchildren, Bryce (Jessica) Kibler, Jarred Kibler, Jackson Kibler, Brittany (Devin) Bryan, Matthew Ebenroth, and her delightful great-grandchild, James Bryan. She also leaves behind her dear sister Phyllis (Dean) Laughlin. Patsy was a beacon of light, radiating love and warmth to her family and friends.

Patsy's life was a dance of beauty and grace, filled with love for her family, passion for her work, and a generous spirit that touched everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Agnes Stooks, and her brother, Eugene Stooks.

Calling hours for Patsy will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., located at 216 East 1st Street, Corning, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, located at 155 State Street, Corning, NY.
