Patricia "Patty" Janowski, age 73, of Painted Post, NY went peacefully to get her hug from Jesus on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. Patty was born on May 8, 1946 in Fillmore, NY. She is the daughter of William and Marjorie (Wilson) Woughter. She loved to serve. First her lord, and then her community, and was employed by Hampton Inn as a breakfast Hostess for many years. People could sense the Holy Spirit through her by her kindness, compassion, and sense of humor. Proverbs 3:5-6 was her Life Verse: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie (David) Weber of Painted Post; brothers, William (Joyce) Woughter of Killeen, TX and Ronald (Elaine) Woughter of Greenville, PA; grandchildren, Isaac Weber of Binghamton, NY, Emily Weber of Candor, NY, Aaron Myers of Painted Post, and Kristen Myers of Painted Post. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at The Bridge (Big Flats Wesleyan Church), 561 Maple St, Big Flats, NY with Pastor Alex Ruffer officiating. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service. Burial will be in Rural Home Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
