Micheline A. McKinney, 96, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2017. She was born in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late Michael and Marie Louise (Bernuchot) Rossini and spent her entire life in the Corning area. \n\n\nShe will be remembered for her grace, dignity, sense of humor, and general love of life and laughter. She was happiest knowing that her large family circle was complete and joined in love. Micheline was hired at Corning, Inc. on her 21st birthday and had a long and happy career thereafter. She was given a '75-Year Service Award' in 2016, as Corning, Inc. continues to honor their employees from their year of employment through retirement. Micheline had fond memories of her Corning, Inc. colleagues, many of which became life-long friends. She and her late husband, Lt. Col. John J. McKinney (U.S. Air Force, Retired) spent many happy years traveling the world and kicking up their heels on Saturday nights at the U.S. Military Officers Club in Romulus, NY. \n\n\nShe leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephew: Lee Rossini (David Salley), Lisa Ann Rossini Bertoline (Alfred), and Peter Rossini (Annetta); her sister-in-law, Patricia Rossini; and her 'bestie' Elisa Tobia, who has been her rock and very special friend for the last several years. \n\n\nShe was predeceased by her first husband, Clifford Iversen; her second husband, John McKinney; her brother, Pierre L. Rossini; sister-in-law, Margaret Weber Balcom; nephew, Michael Rossini; infant niece, Marie Louise Rossini; and great nephew Gary Cabral. \n\n\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 17th, at St. Mary's Church, 155 State St., Corning, with Father Lew Brown presiding.
