Maria De Los Angeles Santos, age 69, of Puerto Rico, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Corning, NY. Maria was born August 1, 1947 in Puerto Rico to Felix and Antonia (Perez) Santos. She was a graduate of Ponce De Leon, La Labra, La Gandara and finished school in New York. She worked for almost 30 years at the Adult Day Care Center as a kitchen helper in Guaynabo, PR. Maria was an active member in the Catholic Church Del Carmen, Catano, PR, and was also involved with PR politics. She liked to read, watch TV, and write. Maria was an extraordinary woman who enjoyed helping anybody in need.\n\nHer survivors include two daughters, Captain Wanda (Captain Raul) Rivera of Corning and Dorca Baez of Puerto Rico; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; one brother, Juan M. Santos; nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her daughter, Luz Selenia Dominguez. Services will be held on Sunday, June 4th at 10:00 AM at the Corning Salvation Army Citadel, 32 Denison Parkway East. Maria's family entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
