Margaret M. Miller, our beloved "Gaumi", passed quietly into the heavens on January 15, 2018. Born Margaret Mary Brzyski in Wilkes-Barre, PA to Walter and Marianna Novak Brzyski on December 14, 1924, she became wife to Harold (deceased), mother to Gerald (Nancy) Miller and Annie (Rev. Gary) McCaslin and grandma to Elizabeth (Christopher) McCaslin Philp, Amanda McCaslin, Jessica (Adam) Miller French, Brian (Caryn) Miller and Evan Miller. Margaret was sister to Louise (Joseph) Kubasti and was pre-deceased by her sister Lottie (Frank) Karweta.\n\n\nShe thoroughly enjoyed her secretarial work as well as writing a memoir column, aptly named "T'was" and published in a Worcester, MA weekly paper for many years. Margaret's most profound joys were her offspring, from children to grandchildren to great-grandbabies. Her deepest sorrow was the sudden loss of her son, Gerald at age 52.\n\n\nWe rest knowing that her creativity, her strength, her generosity and indomitable spirit will forever endure in those whom she cherished. And with the exact words she wrote in a heartfelt column about the death of her son, her family states: "We return her to the snows from whence she came."\n\n\nFuneral services will be private. The family wishes to offer sincere thanks for the services provided by Care First Hospice, Visiting Angels, and the Haughey Funeral Home.\n\n\nMargaret's family has entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street, Corning.\n\n.
