Lynn Ellen (Rhoda) Dates Obituary (1967 - 2023)

Lynn Ellen (Rhoda) Dates, age 55, of Elmira, NY died peacefully at home on April 25, 2023, surrounded by her family. Lynn was born on November 2, 1967 in Corning, NY to Larry and Thomasine Rhoda. She was a graduate of Corning East High School and Columbus College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Lynn returned to the Southern Tier in 2001, and contributed to the community with her work at the ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes and 171 Cedar Arts Center, and recently found her most rewarding work as Executive Assistant to the President & CEO at Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Lynn was an accomplished artist that touched many lives with her paintings and sculptures. She was also an accomplished woman, mother, sister, wife, and friend that touched many lives with her beautiful soul. Her survivors include her husband, Ted; daughter, Abigail O'Brian; son, Thomas (Haley Henson) O'Brian; daughters, Olivia (Mac) Stutzman and Rachael Dates; granddaughter, Harper Louise; beloved Corgi, Miss Honey Bee; mother, Thomasine Goff; stepmother, Fawn Rhoda; sisters, Kristin Anderson, Kitty (Clayton) Ravert and Leslie (Stephen) Boggs; sisters-in-law, Jenny (Kevin) O'Brian and Marla (Terry) O'Brian; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
