Lottie Irene Heckart, age 80, of Meads Creek Road, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at Corning Hospital.\n\n\nLottie was born on May 14, 1933 in Canisteo to Roy and Ida Belle (Campbell) Dennis. She married James Heckart on July 29, 1952 in South Canisteo, NY. \n\n\nShe is survived by her husband James; three daughters: Judy (Ronald) Kopczynski of Gastonia, NC, Jeanne (Steven) Beebe of Hornby, and Jacklyn (Alan) Reep of Lindley; two sons, James (Alice) Heckart of Peoria, AZ, and Jeremy Heckart of Corning; sisters, Nathelia (Richard) Dyring of Hornell and Audrey Dixon of Canisteo; brother, Duane (June) Dennis of Canisteo; fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; special friends, Janet and Joe Bablo of Painted Post; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Paul Staniford and by her brother-in-law Lyle "Pete" Dixon.\n\n\nCalling hours will be held on Friday, December 6th from 12 Noon until 2 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street in Corning where funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery.\n\n\nThe family will provide flowers and asks that memorial donations be made in her name to a charity of your choice.\n\n\nJim entrusted Lottie's care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
