Laura E. Kilmer, age 88, of Beaver Dams, NY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Laura was born March 31, 1928 in Leolyn, PA. to Ralph and Lillian Ruth (Preston) Ward. She married Neal E. Kilmer on February 12, 1947 in Ralston, PA, and was predeceased by him on October 30, 2012.\n\nLaura enjoyed to sing, crochet, knit, and talking with family and friends. \n\nShe is survived by her daughter: Joy (Micheal) Stanton of Beaver Dams, NY and two sons: Phillip Kilmer of Canton, PA and Michael Kilmer of Corning, NY; sisters: Sandra Ribble of Beaver Dams, NY, Barbara Ribble of Beaver Dams, NY and Wilma Brown of Lakeside, CA, and one brother, Ralph (Echo) Ward of Beaver Dams, NY; she also has nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.\n\nLaura was predeceased by her sons, Richard and Kenneth Kilmer, brothers, Robert and Jim Ward, and sister, Lillian Watson.\n\nA memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Beaver Dams United Methodist Church, 1285 County Route 19, Beaver Dams, NY with Pastor Don Giles officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Dams Cemetery.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Schuyler Hospital, Dialysis Unit, 220 Steuben St, Montour Falls, NY 14865.\n\nLaura's family has entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
