Kathaleen E. Butler Obituary (1936 - 2021)

Kathaleen E. Butler, age 84, of Corning, NY, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 19, 2021. She was born June 26, 1936 in Mount Etna, PA. She is the daughter of Melvin and Mabel A. (Post) Butler. Kathaleen was an employee of Corning Inc. for 22 years and retired in 1998. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a part of the American Baptist Women's Ministry/Church Women United. She was a member of the South Corning Senior Citizens and served as secretary during her membership. She spent the last seven years as a resident of Absolut Care of Three Rivers in Painted Post, NY, building friendships, prayer partners and fellowships with the staff and residents. She is survived by one daughter, Kyla Sotomayer of Corning, and her granddaughter, Kari Gridley of San Diego, CA. Private graveside services will be held at Hope Cemetery in Corning at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corning Meals On Wheels, 144 Cedar Street, Corning, NY 14830; Corning Community Food Pantry, 11715 E. Corning Rd., Corning, NY 14830; or Border Buddies Ministries, Inc., P.O. Box 1254, Elmira, NY 14902. Kathaleen's family entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
