Judith A. Coccho, age 71, of Painted Post, peacefully passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.\n\n\nJudy was born on December 16, 1944 in Corning the daughter of Francis and Evelyn (Hyder) Breuilly. She is predeceased by her parents whom she provided care for in their later years as well as for her dear Aunt Rose Hyder.\n\n \n\nJudy was an alumnae of the first graduating class of Corning East High School. After graduation, she spent many years in the Corning area working at the family store, Hyder's Grocery and Fran's Bridal shop while raising her young family. On October 9, 1990 she married Joseph Coccho, Jr. in Toledo, Ohio. During their years together, Judy and Joe had homes in the Corning area as well as Toledo, Ohio. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. \n\n \n\nThroughout Joe's union career, Judy was his biggest supporter. She was an integral part of his campaigns, working hard behind the scene making campaign materials and connecting with constituents. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, making life long friends along the way. She also enjoyed NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, gardening, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren always sharing their achievements with those around her.\n\n\nShe is survived by her loving husband Joseph Coccho Jr., daughter Michelle Lapasnick (Marty Ennulat), son Brian (Molly) Fontanella, step-children Sandy Coccho, JoAnn (Steven) Carriger, Joe (Alicia) Coccho. Grandchildren, William (Amy) Lapasnick, Brandon Fontanella, Taylor Fontanella, Brad (Rachel Marvin) Rogers, Lyndsay (Steven) Miller, Noelle Carriger, Dana Carriger, Erin Rick, Wade Rick. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and special Aunt Aggie Hyder.\n\n\nPrivate services to be held later at the convenience of the family.
