Joan Dorothy Tojek Obituary (1940 - 2018)

Joan Dorothy Tojek, age 77, of Big Flats, died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. Joan was born September 29, 1940 in Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late William and Stephania (Szypenski) Sarna. Joan was employed by Corning Community College as a Media Specialist for over twenty years. Joan enjoyed volunteering at numerous organizations and socializing with her friends. Most of all she loved being with her family. She is survived by one daughter: Monica Tojek and two sons: Anthony (Sharon) Tojek and Kenneth (Kelly) Tojek; Sister: Diane MacDougall; grandchildren, Jennifer, Anthony, Kylie, Kristin Tojek. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Peter Tojek, brother, William Sarna, and Sister, Sylvia Vertalino. There will be no calling hours or services.
