Joan Delores Wolff Woodhouse Obituary (1932 - 2025)

Joan Delores Wolff Woodhouse, of Corning, NY, passed away peacefully at age 93 on April, 7 2025 at Absolute Care Three Rivers in Painted Post, NY. Joan was born on April 6, 1932 in Corning, NY. She was a graduate of Corning Free Academy and a lifelong resident of Corning. She married Earl Woodhouse in1979 and was a loving wife for over 40 years. Joan was employed at Corning Natural Gas, where she retired from in 1988 after 30 years of dedicated service. Upon retirement, Joan spent many years volunteering at First Presbyterian Church in Corning. She enjoyed many years traveling to Florida, Myrtle Beach, taking cruises, and attending many different sports events throughout the years. She especially enjoyed spending sunny afternoons with her sister and family at Keuka Lake. Joan also enjoyed dancing and performing as a member of the Red Hat Society and peacefully watching wildlife at her home in Corning. Joan had a special love of all animals, especially love for her many pets. Joan is survived by her stepchildren, Virginia Woodhouse and her children, Mark and Mary, and Peter (Sandra) Woodhouse and their children, Grayson, Catherine, DeLaney, Miles; nephew, Steven (Karen) Nesbitt; as well as nieces, Nancy Stenger and Janet (Aldis) Lemesis. A private interment prayer service will be held. Further memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later time.
