Jenifer Paquette

Jenifer Ann Paquette, 70, of Corning, NY passed away on May 21, 2022 at the Robert Packer Hospital.

Jeni was born on February 15, 1952 in Corning; she was the daughter of Edward and Eileen (Quinn) Riesbeck. She was a graduate of East High School.

In 1970, she enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a Personnelman until her honorable discharge in 1973. After the military, she attended Corning Community College receiving two associate degrees in Human Services and Data Processing, graduating with distinction.

Jeni worked for Steuben County as a computer programmer for many years and several years for Corning Community College.

She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Big Flats, NY, volunteered at the Corning Community Food Pantry, was a representative for Southern Tier Interfaith Coalition, and a member of the League of Women Voters of Steuben and Chemung County.

She was an advocate for peace and a humanitarian for many social causes. Jeni liked flowers, photography, and spending time with family and her precious little dog, Toto.

She is survived by her son, Adam Paquette of Corning and his father, Daniel of Elmira, NY; grandchild, Jahra Cecci of Delaware; sister, Nancy Riesbeck of Elmira Heights, NY; brothers, Christopher, (Maxine) Riesbeck of Wilmette, IL, Mark (Ruth) Riesbeck of Painted Post, NY, Stephen (Judy) Riesbeck of Owego, NY, Rick (Diana) Riesbeck of Beaver Dams, NY; sister-in-law, Wendy Riesbeck of Owego; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeni was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Riesbeck.
