Harold "Bud" Dailey, age 92, of Corning, NY died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Corning Centers. Bud was born on March 29, 1924 in Watertown, NY and served his country in the Navy during World War II. He owned and operated Bud Dailey Construction in Rochester and Corning for over 50 years. He was a consummate outdoorsman both at his hunting cabin and the lake. Bud loved hunting, fishing, riding horses, skiing, and teaching all the grandchildren to shoot. He was very kind and generous especially to children and the elderly. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Julie; children, Corinne Ragne of Fairport, Kelly Tanner of Hamburg, and Jillian (Christopher) Scanlon of Williamsport, PA, Kevin (Bernadette) Dailey of Rochester, Craig Dailey of Fairport, James (Trish) Owdienko of Corning, Michele (Gardner) Smith of Canandaigua, Melissa (Jesse Cates) Eighmey of Corning, and Danielle Owdienko of Canandaigua; sister, Ethel "Jackie" Dailey of Watertown; grandchildren, CJ, Chad, Brian, Lee-Ellen, Kaitlyn, Dillon, Jacob, Peyton, Sydney, and Tyler; several nieces and nephews. Bud was predeceased by his daughter, Christine Villnow; brother and sisters, Genevieve, Dorothy, Bill and Elizabeth. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, February 8th from 3 - 5 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street in Corning where funeral services will follow at 5:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made in Bud's name to Wounded Warriors or Meals On Wheels.
