Grace M. LaShure

Grace M. LaShure, age 79, of Painted Post, NY died Friday, September 19, 2014 at Guthrie Corning Hospital.

Grace was born April 18, 1935 in Corning to Frank and Frances (Conzo) Avagliano. She married Raymond LaShure in 1956 and was predeceased by him in 2012.

She enjoyed baking during the holidays and was famous for her fudges that everyone loved. Grace was a very faithful woman and her greatest joy was watching daily Mass. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a member for IHM Women's Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. Grace was a communicant of All Saints Parish and attended St. Joseph's in Campbell.

She worked for Conzo's Market, Bonady Brothers, A & P Foods, and P & C Foods.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Beth LaShure of Painted Post; three sons, Frank LaShure of Painted Post, James LaShure of Painted Post, and Raymond (Marylin) LaShure of Austintown, OH; brother, Francis Avagliano of Corning; adopted granddaughters, Jill, Jennifer, and Julie Whiting of Beaver Dams; several nieces and nephews; and her dog Shaft. Grace was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Avagliano, and a sister, Louise Avagliano.

Calling hours will be held at St. Mary's Church, 155 State Street in Corning on Monday September 22, 2014 from Noon until 2 PM where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Corning.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to EWTN TV Network or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
