Francis (Frank) Joseph Maloney, 72, passed away on September 11, 2015 at Corning Hospital surrounded by his family. \n\nFrank, son of the late David and Grace (Maxwell) Maloney, was born March 22, 1943 in New York City. He moved to Painted Post, NY in 1972. Frank retired from the New York Telephone (Lucent) Company in 1999 after 33 years of service. He was a United States Marine and served his country from 1961-1965. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the telephone company union. He enjoyed tinkering, woodworking, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.\n\nHis survivors include his companion, Josephine Ellett; step daughter, Ellen (John) Minch; grandchildren: Jonathon, Jessica, and Noel; three great grandchildren: Joelle, Gauge, and Onna; brothers, Thomas (Terri) Maloney and Jack Maloney; a brother-in-law, Daniel Johansson; twelve nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Johansson.\n\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph the Carpenter Church in Campbell on Friday, September 18th at 10:00 AM with Father Patrick Connor officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery with full military honors.\n\nMemorial contributions may be made in Frank's name to St. Joseph's Church or to the Red Cross.\n\nFrank's family entrusted his care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
