For many years, Miss Mikolajczak was a portrait photographer on Market Street in Corning, whose work is still evidenced in cherished wedding and family albums, senior yearbooks, and lovely bridal portraits. She delighted in her garden and roses, and she was also a member of the Rose Society for many years, winning several awards for her colorful blooms. In addition, Frances was also a very accomplished oil painter, and her work still hangs in several family homes throughout the country. She attended St. Patrick's Church and All Saints Parish and also enjoyed the peace and serenity of the Mt. Saviour Monastery in Pine City. She recently returned from vacation time in North Carolina, where she was able to visit with several family members and even experienced a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Smoky Mountains, which she had never seen before.
