Edward R. Ruter, age 89, of Painted Post, NY, formerly of Addison died Monday, November 30, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. \n\n\nEd was born on November 11, 1926 in Crosby, PA to Frank and Viva (Stiles) Rutar. He married Madeline Moulthrop in 1944 in Riverside. He served his country in the Army during World War II from 1945 to 1946. He worked for Ingersoll - Rand for over 42 years and retired in 1989 as an assembler. \n\n\nHis earthly accomplishments as a believer, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, uncle, soldier, friend, farmer, coach, employee and sportsman are far too many to list here. Each one, however, is meticulously recorded in the Book of Life for all to see. Revelation 20:12. He made everyone he met feel special and important with his smile because to him everyone is special and important.\n\n\nHe is survived by his wife Madeline; daughter, Janice Ruter - Kennedy of Rochester, NY; three sons, Ronald Ruter of Painted Post, Robert (Jeanna) Ruter of Avon, NY, and Gerald (Carol) Ruter of Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Eva Robinson, Betty Spong, and Jane Kniffin; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
