Dorothy G. Hale, age 79, of Painted Post, NY died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Guthrie Corning Hospital.\n \nDorothy was born on October 3, 1937 in Corning, NY to Raymond and Marian (Zeller) Kuss. She married Arthur Hale on October 1, 1960 in Corning NY. \n \nShe was employed by Corning City School District as a cook for over 23 years. Her hobbies include needle point, cross stitch and crafts. She enjoyed reading and baking and collecting teddy bears and cats. \n \nShe is survived by her husband Arthur; two children, Robin (Dave) Black of Rixeyville, VA and Duane (Chris) Hale of Painted Post; grandchildren, Jessica Mallory, Courtney Mallory, Seana Mallory, Ashley Hale and Charlie Hale; brother and sister, Marry Potter and Richard Kuss. Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter Teresa Mallory in 2003 and by her brother Raymond Kuss, Jr.\n \nCalling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street, Corning from Noon until 2:00 PM where funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Painted Post.\n \nMemorial donations may be made in Dorothy's name to Susan G.
