Carol Diane Carson, age 72, of Corning, died Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at her home in Corning with her family at her side.\n\n\nCarol was born on July 8, 1943 in Williamsport, PA to Herman and Marion (Hartman) Fischer. She married Michael Carson in 1962 in Williamsport, PA. She had worked for Hudson Shoe Store and St Vincent de Paul Church as a secretary. Carol was an avid quilter, enjoyed showing horses, camping, gardening, flower gardening, and spending time outside. She also made and donated quilts for charity in West Virginia. \n\n\nShe is survived by her husband Michael; two daughters, Michele Reynolds of Corning and Renee (Skip) Gosper of Addison; son, Mike Carson of Corning; brothers, Kerry (Kay) Fischer of Harrisburg, PA and Kim (Bonnie) Fischer of Thomasville, PA; 9 grandchildren, Dianna, Malachi, Erin, Kristin, Nicholas, Staci, Eric, Naylee, and Lexington; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.\n\n\nFriends may call at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 222 Dodge Avenue in Corning on Saturday, February 20th from 10 until 11 AM where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM with Fathers Patrick Connor and Robert MacNamara officiating.
