Brian G. Cobb

Brian G. Cobb, age 60 of Avoca, NY passed peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Noyes Hospital in Dansville, NY.

Brian was born on September 18, 1962 in Bath, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline (Schoonover) Whitney; stepfather, Lynn Whitney; and Francis Cobb. He was a graduate of Corning-Painted Post West High School and served as an Active and Reserve Navy Seabee from 1980 to 1986.

He worked many years in the Carpenter's Union, was a self-employed carpenter, and most recently worked at Bath Plumbing. He always enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

His survivors include his five daughters: Sasha (Josh) Crandall, Shondrea (Shayne) Cobb, Heather Cobb, Elizabeth (Troy) Brooks, and Jordan Cobb; grandchildren: Kaitlyn Crandall, Lillianna Crandall, Vanessa McPherson, Piper Mcpherson, CoraMae Rose, Zoey Rose, and Laine Brooks; step-mother, Lora Mae Cobb; brothers: Tim Whitney, Barry (Patti) Whitney, Jeff (Missy) Whitney, Stacey Whitney, Alfred Tomlinson, and Kevin Cobb; sisters: Stephanie Cobb, Deborah Green, Kelly (Jake) Boser, Ashley Perry, and Colleen Perry; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends old and new.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Crandall; sister, Marcella Allen; and sister-in-law, Trisha Whitney.

The family would like to thank lifelong friends and family members for helping with doctor appointments and anything Brian needed. The family will be holding a celebration of life for Brian at a later time.

Brian's care was entrusted to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
