Bonita J. Clarkson, age 74, of Painted Post, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Robert Packer Hospital of Sayre, PA.\n\n\nBonita was born on August 15, 1942 in Corning to Elmer and Violet (Koster) Overstrom. She married George E. Clarkson on August 25, 1962 in Corning and was predeceased by her husband in 2006.\n\n\nBonita's true love in life was her husband, George of 44 years, children and grandchildren. Her passion was bringing family and friends together, whether it was in her home, cottage, cabin or wherever her infectious laugh could be heard. She greatly impacted all of our lives through creating special moments.\n\n \n\nShe is survived by her daughter Keri (John) Wilson of Painted Post; three sons, Kirk (Karl McLaurin) Clarkson of Arlington, MA, Kevin (Kelly) Clarkson of Painted Post, and Kris (Tammy) Clarkson of Watkins Glen; brother, Evar (Kathleen) Overstom of Corning, sister, Donna (Bill) Woodfruff of Aloha, OR; grandchildren, Kendyl (Theresa), Kyle, Derek, Hailey, Chris, Jaron, Ana, Bryson, Alec, Ellie and Evan; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends on Wixson Road on Waneta Lake. Bonita was predeceased by her brother Jerome Overstrom.\n\n\nA private celebration of Bonita's life will be held at the convenience of the family.
