Barbara Catherine Walker

Barbara Catherine Walker was born on November 5, 1939, in Bay City, Michigan, and looked full in the eyes of her Savior on December 30, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. Barb's faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life and she lived out her faith.

Barb's life was marked by creativity, generosity, and her heart for serving anyone in need. She was always available to support her family and friends in joyful and challenging times in their lives. Her incredible creativity expressed in her hobbies, which included cooking, ceramics, painting, jewelry making, music, movies, and travel. When arthritis challenged other artistic interests, she continued her card ministry - coloring beautiful cards that have ministered to people all over the world.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, John, her children James and wife Teresita, Mark and wife Martha, and Elizabeth Ann. Her beloved grandchildren Anthony and wife Christena, Kaitlin, Claire, Noah, Lydia, Luke and wife Havilah and their children, Barb's great-grandchildren, Peter and Emma. She is also survived by her siblings Judy, Dan, Sally, and Crystal. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Culberson, stepmother Crystal, her siblings Larry and Karen, and brother-in-law Jack.

Barb's faith, hope, and love continue to live on in the hearts of her family and dear friends; all her children serve in ministry.

A memorial service will be held for Barbara on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Open Door Baptist Church in Greenwood, NY with her son, Pastor Mark Walker officiating.
