Anne M. Yorio, age 89, formerly of Sunset Drive in Corning, NY died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. \n\n\nAnne was born on September 28, 1926 in Corning to Pasquale and Marie (Maley) Yorio. \n\n\nShe retired as secretary to the principal at Corning East High School and spent her retirement years involved with her family and her church. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of All Saints Parish\n\n\nShe and her sister Mary were active with the Anawim House of Prayer. Anne was able to age at home with the loving care and support of her niece and nephew Carol and Chris Ibberson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Ross, Felix, Michael, Paul, Frank, Albert, Angeline Butterazzi, and Mary Yorio.\n\n\nShe is survived by her sister Lucy (Conrad) Stemski of Painted Post; sister-in-law, Betty Yorio of East Harford, CT; brother-in-law, Joseph Butterazzi of Savona; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews.\n\n\nThe family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 30th from 9 - 9:45 AM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street, Corning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 30th at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Corning.\n\n\nThe family wishes that memorial contributions be made in Anne's name to the Anawim House of Prayer, 122 East First Street, Corning, NY 14830.\n\n\nAnne's family entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
