Ann R. (Nan) Metcalf of Corning Died on June 25, 2016 at Absolut Care At Three Rivers in Painted Post. \n\n\nShe was born March 25, 1929 in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late J. Norman and Mary B. Reilly. A lifetime resident of the area, she was a graduate of Corning Free Academy. She attended Nazareth College and Michigan State University. Ann and Gordon H. Metcalf were married October 6, 1951 in St. Mary's Church. She was employed by the Corning-Painted Post Area School District. She was a member of All Saints Parish, Corning, NY, and St. Joseph's Church of Campbell, NY.\n\n\nShe is survived by her daughter, Gail M. Damon and her husband D. Robert Damon of Barker, NY; her son, G. Brian Metcalf and his wife Gina of Corning, NY; three grandsons: Mathew Metcalf of Corning, NY, Sean Damon and his wife Colby of Cambria, NY, and Joel Damon and his wife Alexis of Akron, NY. Also surviving are two great grandchildren, Reilly Thomas and Piper Ann Damon of Cambria, NY. She has two sisters-in-law who survive, Bette K. Reilly and Rosemary Cole Reilly, both of Corning, NY. Predeceasing Ann was her husband, Gordon H. Metcalf; granddaughter, Amy Lynn Metcalf; parents, J. Norman and Mary B. Reilly; brothers, John Reilly and Joseph N. Reilly Jr.; and sisters: Rosemary (Sis) Reilly, Kathleen A. Reilly and Mary Margaret Reilly.\n\n\nFriends may call at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 East First St. on Thursday, June 30 from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 1 at 1:30 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 115 High Street, in Painted Post.\n\n \n\nMemorials in Ann's name may be made to a charity of one's choice. \n\n\nAnn's Family entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc. \n\n\n\n\n.
