Jule A. Tetor, 95, of Painted Post passed peacefully on October 25, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Jule was born April 29, 1922 to Mary and Frank Cowley. She graduated from Northside High School in 1939. Jule married Harry Tetor November 27, 1943 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Corning. Together they opened Northside Floral February 10, 1947.
Jule was always the life of the party with her quick wit and sense of humor. She loved her Irish heritage. St. Patrick’s Day was her favorite day of the year. Jule loved to dance, kicking up her heels at any opportunity. She loved to tell jokes and write poems. Jule had a strong Roman Catholic faith. She belonged to All Saints Parish of Corning and St. Catherines of Addison.
Jule was predeceased by her parents, husband, Harry; sister, Margaret (Jim) Cooney, and brother Fran Cowley.
Jule is survived by her children Juliann (David LaRose) Walton of Knoxville, TN; Greg (Patricia) Tetor of Liverpool, NY; Maureen (Wende Ungleich) Tetor of Painted Post, NY; grandchildren: Kristin, Brian, Patrick, Jeffrey and Matthew; great grandchildren: Tyler, Rylee, Jordynn, Olivia and Deliah; sister, Rosemary (Curt) Hooey, a niece and several nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 3 to 5 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Corning, NY. Burial will be at Chapel Knoll Cemetery in Coopers Plains, NY.
We want to thank all the wonderful ladies that took care of our mom while she was at home and the caring staff at Absolut Care of Three Rivers.
